The staff went above and beyond, calling us as soon as we got to our room to ensure everything was perfect. To top it off, we were greeted with the most thoughtful touch—a beautiful rose, a handwritten card, and a bottle of wine to celebrate our special day. It made our anniversary even more memorable and showed how much the staff cares about making guests feel welcome and appreciated. We also had carefully crafted cocktails at the Skybar, paired with outstanding service and attention from Fran. Fran ensured the cocktails were made to our exact expectations, making the experience even more memorable. The room itself was everything you could hope for—elegant, cozy, and comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully curated. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay in Madrid. Highly recommend!

From the reception to the breakfast service, everyone is friendly. They are always trying to help. The rooms are clean, stylish and large. The pool area is amazing. We went as a married husband and wife. We did not face anything that would disturb us. we felt like at home. It is also a hotel with a location close to everywhere. if we come to Madrid again, we will book a room here without hesitation. thank you axel hotel

Axel Hotel Madrid is centrally located, one can walk anywhere in the old part of town (Madrid de los Austrias) and it's a stone's throw away from the Museum Area (Triángulo del Arte), just up Atocha street from Museo Reina Sofia (MNCARS) and Atocha High Speed Train station. Plaza de Santa Ana, Plaza del Ángel and Huertas Street, all known for being a tapas area are literally behind the hotel. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. We arrived before check-in time and they made sure there was a room ready for us. The room was spotless.

The rooftop pool area and bar is a great function of the hotel, great views and a nice way to 'get outside' without the crowds or street bustle. I found the bathroom features cool and the aethetic of the room very unique and photogenic. Loved the queer friendly setup, refreshing hospitality environment to experience. The neighbourhood is great, lots to see in very near walking distance and even some handy supermarkets for quick supplies.

There's a bar on the top floor with a smallish swimming pool that I think was warm even on the days of our stay, but we didn't try it.
